Security Updates – Google Chrome
Summary:
Google has released security updates to address multiple high-severity vulnerabilities in the Chrome
browser. Successful exploitation of these vulnerabilities could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary
code, gain elevated privileges, or cause application crashes.
High-Severity Vulnerabilities:
• CVE-2025-0995: A use-after-free flaw in Chrome's V8 JavaScript engine, which could allow
remote attackers to exploit heap corruption.
• CVE-2025-0996: An inappropriate implementation in the Browser UI, enabling spoofing
attacks.
• CVE-2025-0997: A use-after-free vulnerability in the Navigation component, risking
arbitrary code execution.
• CVE-2025-0998: Out-of-bounds memory access in V8, which could lead to data leaks or
system crashes.
Fixed Versions:
• The Stable channel update:
o Chrome 133.0.6943.98/.99 for Windows, Mac and 133.0.6943.98 for Linux
• Extended Stable updates:
o Chrome 132.0.6834.207 for Windows and Mac
• Chrome 133 (133.0.6943.89) for Android.
Recommendations:
